Pipeline Inspections

Pipeline inspections or pipeline integrity (PI) is the process of ensuring that the pipelines and related components are free from damage or defect. Maintaining PI is necessary to keeps pipelines safe for use throughout their lifecycle (from design to fabrication, pipeline commissioning, pipeline maintenance/repairs, and pipeline decommissioning).

Intelligent Pigging
Intelligent Pigging is an inspection technique whereby an inspection probe, often referred to as a "smart" pig, is propelled through a pipeline while gathering important data, such as the presence and location of corrosion or other irregularities on the inner walls of the pipe.

Long Range UT
Long range ultrasonic testing (LRUT), also known as guided wave ultrasonic testing, is a fast and cost-effective method for inspecting long lengths of pipe.

Phase Array UT
Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) is an advanced nondestructive examination technique that utilizes a set of ultrasonic testing (UT) probes made up of numerous small elements, each of which is pulsed individually with computer-calculated timing (“phasing”).
